How does the App differ from Supermarket Swap Instagram?
The app encompasses months of research from a team of dietitians and nutritionists with detailed information regarding additives and preservatives found in Australian food. As well, the app includes a catalogue of additive free supermarket products to take the guess work out of your grocery shopping. The app also showcases the additive free specials every week so you can make a simple swap for less.

Will I be able to search by dietary requirement?
You will be able to filter gluten free, dairy free and vegan products. Please note the material in the app is for general information purposes and does not constitute specific, personal, medical or nutritional advice.
Will it be available for iOS and Android?
Yes, the app is available for download on both Google Play and the App Store.
Can the app be used in New Zealand?
The product catalogue is for Australian supermarkets; however, it also contains a database that includes information regarding every additive and preservative listed on the Food Standards Council Australia New Zealand. Our New Zealand followers can use the SEARCH function, to check any code when they are in the Supermarket.
Which supermarket products will be included?
The app currently includes food products from Woolworths, Coles and Aldi.
Subscription Service
Supermarket Swap is free to download, but it requires a subscription to unlock all features, apart from Share.
How much does it cost?

You can opt for an annual or monthly subscription.

Subscription renewal
At the expiry of the Subscription Term, the Subscription will automatically renew and continue to renew for a further Subscription Term.

For subscriptions that are purchased through the App, cancellations need to be made through your Apple Subscriptions for iPhone and through the Google Play store for Android. 

Apple Cancellations

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap the subscription that you want to manage.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Android Cancellations

  1. Open the Google Play app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
  4. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription.
  6. Follow the instructions.

To avoid being charged, please ensure you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the Subscription Term or the Renewed Subscription Term.

Once the Supermarket Swap App is purchased it will be deemed to have been used and the Customer will not be entitled to a refund. However, you can cancel your subscription up to 24 hours prior to the end of the subscription term.

Will you share low tox household products?
Supermarket Swap is currently focussed on additive and preservative free food products.
Do you promote Australian Made products?
We know Australia has an abundance of top-quality food and talented producers, so we endeavour to promote Australian products whenever we can. Our main mission is to provide you with additive and preservative free options available in the Supermarket. We are always on the lookout for new products and welcome any wonderful Australian product suggestions.
Do you look for products with sustainable packaging?
We believe we can all explore ways to reduce our environmental impact and love finding products that are both additive and preservative free, as well as packaged in a sustainable manner. While it will not always be possible to provide a sustainable option, we take this into consideration and welcome any product suggestions you have.
I can’t download the app from Google Play Store

To help us best provide you with support for the issue you’re experiencing we require information about your specific phone and Android software version. To find out this information please follow these steps:

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
  2. Near the bottom, tap “About phone”.
  3. Please record and provide to Supermarket Swap, what is shown for “Model Name”.
  4. Then tap “Software information”.
  5. Also, please record and email the information to support@supermarketswap.com.au, what is shown for “Android version”.
  6. This way we can specifically provide helpful information for your specific phone model.

Please also ensure you software is updated.

I can’t get back to the form where you enter the code after I leave the app to check my emails
  1. Open the SS app. Proceed through the onboarding screens to the registration form.
  2. Scroll down and click the “Already have an account?” link.
  3. Enter your login details and click the “Sign In”.
  4. If your account is unverified, it will take you back to the form where you can enter their confirmation code.
  5. Enter the confirmation code, then you will return to the login screen where you can login to the app.
Does the App support Family Sharing?

Currently, Family Sharing is not available for the Supermarket Swap App.

Each Supermarket Swap App Membership is unique to the Apple App Store or Google Play account in which it was originally activated. This means that the paid features can only be accessed on the device that purchased the membership. 

This means that the account details you create when signing up to the Supermarket Swap app cannot be used to log into your Supermarket Swap account on a different device.

Please ensure you sign up to the Supermarket Swap Paid Features on the device that you will take with you to the Supermarket. This will ensure your account will work on this device.

Will my subscription still work if I swap from an Apple device to an Android device and vice versa?

Each Supermarket Swap App Membership is unique to the Apple App Store or Google Play account in which it was originally activated. If you move from your Apple/Android device to a different device, unfortunately the membership will not be recognised.
